The Rice Health Advising program is a group of your peers that have been trained by Rice to confidentially support you with wellness issues such as mental health, stress management, conflict resolution, trauma, physical fitness, nutrition, sexual health, and interpersonal violence. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any one of us about a wellness concern.

  • Please feel free to grab any free supplies from the RHA lockers outside the Baker servery. We’ll be restocking regularly and updating you in the Baker Slack.

  • First and foremost, we are here to listen. We are passionate about cultivating the Culture of Care at Baker and hope to help you or someone you are worried about through difficult situations and answer any questions about improving your overall health.

    We can also act as liaisons to the Wellbeing Office, Counseling Center, and other professional resources if you are interested, but we are not mandatory reporters. All conversations are confidential unless there is a threat of immediate danger. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any one of us about a wellness concern.

    We also host monthly events at Baker including education on wellness topics, mindfulness meditation sessions, and self-care events. All of us are equipped with various medical supplies if you need anything.

Rice Student Health Services provides preventive and outpatient clinical care for the students of Rice University. Student Health is located on-campus and is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of undergraduate and graduate students, with an emphasis on prevention. We see all students regardless of their insurance. Appointments are included in student fees. Additional charges for labs, vaccines, etc. may be paid via cash or credit card.

The Rice Women’s Resource Center provides resources pertaining to sexual and women’s health. Furthermore, the RWRC provides open dialogue for any questions regarding the topics aforementioned with its trained volunteers. The office is located in the Rice Memorial Center, across from Coffeehouse.
